Functional Movements are movements that have a few key characteristics. They are natural and innate and in that way they mimic movements we already do in our lives. They are capable of moving large loads long distance quickly and are multi-joint. They initiate with the core and move to the extremities. They are not isolated movements done to get you to look a certain way or feel sore in a certain place.
