The thruster is arguably one of the most representative movements of CrossFit. It is a very special due to it's ability to humble even the toughest athletes. It is a weightlifting movement that packs a wicked metabolic punch and requires on all ten general physical skills. Done by themselves or in combination with other movements it is sure to bring the suffer like no other movement can.

Workout

Perform one Thruster every thirty seconds increasing load until you are unable to complete the rep and for a maximum of eight minutes. The barbell must start from the floor.

Rarely in sport or fitness do people of such varied ages, backgrounds, and capabilities do things together. Hanna is 17 and about to graduate as valedictorian of Santa Cruz high next month. My mom is 58 and has four children and five grand children. And here they are both doing pullups together in the same class at the same time and enjoying it. What a treasure.

In every sport there is practice and training and in all team sports there are athletes who get more playing time than others come competition day. The competition days come few and far between and it is the time spent preparing that most of the team remembers. On June 3-5 six athletes will represent our team at the nor cal regional. It was a hard decision to make the line up and we are confident these athletes will do us all proud. Come game day we put our best out there to go for glory. These athletes have put in many hours and lots of sweat to get to put it all out there in June. We can hardly wait.
