Chad Peyton Memorial Workout

Date: Sunday, June 20, 2021
Location: CrossFit Aptos
Time: 9:00 - 11:30 a.m.
Registration:
Pre-registration is required. There will be limited spots available in each heat to ensure there is sufficient space for all athletes. Sign ups will happen through the MINDBODY app.

  • Simply search for CrossFit Aptos and view the schedule.

  • Go to June 20 and choose the appropriate heat.

  • A cost will automatically be populated, but clicking the cost will bring up other donation amounts. Donations can also be made to the VSA the day of the event.

Workout:
20-minute AMRAP*
10 Chest-to-Bar Pull-ups (honoring his 10 years in the US Army)
10 Dumbbell Thrusters (50/35) (honoring his 10 years spent with Nicole)

* Workout starts with 40 double-unders. Then, every 2 minutes, complete 40 double-unders (for his age at the time of his passing).

Then, at the 20-minute mark, take off for a 2 mile trail run. A 2 mile run is part of the Army fitness test, and Chad loved nature and spent many hours in the forest of Nisene hiking with his family or by himself. Participants will run from CrossFit Aptos to the kiosk station inside of Nisene Marks park.
