This Friday from 5-7 pm we will be trying a different type of class. With the extra hour we will have the option to program workouts and events we may not be able to program in regular class. Many of you have been bitten by the competition bug and hunger for more opportunities to be tested.
As is the CrossFit way, each week will be different. It may be a team workout, a game of dodgeball, a weightlifting competition, a time to dig deep into a specific movement, time to work on your weaknesses, or something completely different. These classes will be completely inclusive and open to all CFSC members.
The goal is to have fun getting better and get more fit by having exposure to different stimuli.
Event programming will be designed around the number of people who commit to showing up, so RSVP to the comments. Cary Hair will be organizing and running the events. He is a veteran to the CrossFit competition scene and fired up about getting us all a little bit more competition exposure. "I am really excited to be given this opportunity and to do more for the CFSC community. I hope to see all of you there!"
Friday's plan is for a team event and should harken back to a piece of what teams saw at this years CrossFit Games.

Power clean + Squat clean + Front squat 1-1-1 reps
Continue to add weight until you can no longer power clean any more. Work landing position and feet.

CrossFit Kids and Teens Program Update:
Nicole Benson is going to begin coaching the CrossFit Kids classes, now only Wednesdays at 5:30-6:30pm and Saturdays 10-11am. Cara Hipskind is going to begin coaching the CrossFit Teen classes on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 4:15-5:15pm. All kids and teen classes are appointment-based, so please let the coach know when your children plan on attending. Classes are $10 with $5 per sibling. Hope your children can join us!
