It's not easy stepping into someone elses' shoes, especially Gilly's. Amy is just the right fit for the job. Amy has been a CrossFit athlete for more than four years now and was Hollis' very first client. She has been certified for some time now but working as an engineer made it difficult to pursue a coaching career. Amy has recently decided to go back to school to get her masters degree. This new path has left some time for Amy to do some coaching for us. She is teaching Tuesday and Thursdays at 3:00 and 5:30. We are happy to have her knowledge and unforgiving eye in class. Please welcome her in her new role.

We love the use use of high skill movements in our workouts. They test not only the body but also the mind. Under high heart rate and fatigue complicated movements become even harder, so making sure that we have the proper movement pattern down will ensure that we get the job done.

Developing a strong grip is important for a lot of people including rock climbers, carpenters, and the CrossFit athlete. In our workouts we use many of different grips.  Some examples are Overhand, mixed, underhand, and the hook. The rope climb is unique in that you use one hand at a time. An important thing to think about is changing your grip often as you will develop capacity only in the ways you practice.
